An investment veteran with 26+years of experience in banking and asset management, Mr. Omar El Adel Mohamed Abou Allam successfully managed major financial accounts for large banks, financial institutions, insurance, and industrial corporations. Currently, Mr. Abou Allam is Chairman of AAIM and Head of Treasury at the Arab African International Bank (AAIB). Since graduation in 1993, his impressive career spanned top managerial positions in leading financial institutions across the MENA region. He was Co-CEO of Misr Beltone Asset Management and Beltone Financial Holding, where his role encompassed providing exceptional leadership for the Fixed Income Team and serving as Chair of the Fixed Income Investment Committee. Before that, Mr. Abou Allam served as Chief Dealer & Head of Primary Dealers in the Investment & Treasury Division of AAIB after joining the bank in November 2020. Through his key positions in the banking and finance field, Mr. Abou Allam forged strong business relationships with business partners and major institutional clients, growing existing operations and embracing new value-added opportunities.
Mr. Abou Allam received a B.A. in Finance & Banking from Kuwait University.
Mr. Mohamed Mostafa boasts 20+ years of experience in MENA equities, fixed income, and alternative investments. He heads the Investment Committees of AAIM’s Equity, Fixed Income, and Private Equity Divisions. Before joining AAIM, Mr. Mostafa was Head of Buy-Side Research at Rasmala Asset Management Egypt (now Azimut Egypt). Before that, he was a key member of the Asset Management Team for the Equity Portfolios Section at KSA-based Saudi Investment Bank (previously known as Naeem Investment Program), managing more than SAR15 billion. Previously, Mr. Mostafa was Head of Research at Naeem Holding. He started his career as a Senior Financial Analyst at Prime Securities then Misr Iran Development Bank, covering petrochemicals, banking, building materials, fertilizers, and real estate sectors.
Mr. Mostafa received a B.A. in Accounting from Ain Shams University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Paris ESLSCA Business School, France.
Dr. Maha Mourad is a Tenured Associate Professor of Marketing at the American University in Cairo (AUC) and Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies & Administration, and previously she was the Chair of the Department of Management. Dr. Mourad is a former Visiting Associate Professor of Business Studies at Drew University, USA. She was granted a Fulbright Scholar in Residence Grant at North Central College, the USA in 2015-2016. Dr. Mourad had two Post-Doctoral research grants: The Fulbright Post-Doctoral research grant at George Washington University, DC, USA (2006) and the Erasmus Mundus Post-Doctoral research grant at Warsaw School of Economics, Poland (2012). Her research interests include Brand Equity, Service Marketing, Innovation Marketing, and Higher Education Marketing. Over the past five years, Dr. Mourad had more than 36 intellectual contributions, including top-tier peer-reviewed academic journal articles, conference proceedings, and case studies. One of her papers was selected as a Highly Commended Paper at the Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2012, which attests to the value and excellence of her work. She received the university’s Excellence in Research & Creative Endeavors Award in June 2014 and the School of Business’s Excellence in Service Award in June 2019. She taught a variety of marketing courses in Egypt, UAE, and the USA. Her professional experience also includes several national and regional consultant assignments.
Dr. Mourad received a Ph.D. in Marketing from The University of Nottingham Business School, UK.
With 17+ years of experience under his belt, Mr. Mohamed El Gelany led a broad range of responsibilities, spanning business development, analysis, financial reporting, accounting, controlling, and core banking system implementations. Currently, he heads the Core Banking Applications Business Analysis Team at the Arab African International Bank (AAIB). Well-positioned in the Finance Group at AAIB, Mr. El Gelany has been managing comprehensive reporting tasks and analyzing financials and budgets, all while leading system implementations and producing detailed financial reports. As an experienced senior banking professional, he has successfully been supporting AAIB’s decision-makers, capitalizing on his expertise in improving and updating internal controls and processes within the bank. Mr. El Gelany has been coaching and leading high-performance teams to ensure maximum accuracy and productivity.
Mr. El Gelany received an M.B.A. from the Arab Academy for Management, Banking, and Financial Sciences.
Ms. Sherine Fadel has 25+ years of experience in some of the leading asset management firms in Egypt. She was the managing director of Acumen Asset Management before venturing privately and co-founding TrueNorth Business Advisory. Before that, Ms. Fadel was one of Beltone Asset Management’s founding employees, where she played multiple leading and vital roles for 14 years in every single department within asset management. She went from operations to investment then business development, launching multiple innovative products locally and regionally. Ms. Fadel was the managing director of the first exchange-traded fund (ETF) company and the first administration company in Egypt. Her last position in Beltone was as Corporate Strategy Director. Before joining Beltone, Ms. Fadel was an assistant equity portfolio manager and was a member of the Egypt mandate investment committee at EFG Hermes.
Ms. Fadel holds an M.B.A. with a major in Banking & Finance from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport.
